Omar Albán Cornejo

Omar holds a Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. He also earned a Master's degree in Intellectual Property from Universidad de las Americas (UDLA) in Quito. Since 2000, he has been a partner and shareholder at Guerrero Intellectual Property, playing a key role in the firm's strategic development.

His practice encompasses comprehensive management of intellectual property rights, as well as advisory services in civil and labor law. He has led processes for trademark and patent registrations and was responsible for the Legal Department for a decade, solidifying his experience in litigation and intangible asset protection strategies.

Omar joined Guerrero Intellectual Property in 2000. For ten years, he led the Legal Department, and subsequently has headed the division responsible for trademark and patent registration applications, as well as modifications to trademark registrations. His prior experience includes serving as an official at the Ministry of Labor and Human Resources from 1995 to 2000, where he was Head of the Department of Labor Organizations of the General Directorate of Labor for two years.
